In Minecraft, you can build incredible weapons, replicas of famous palaces and temples, but all this requires resources. And if the creative mode allows unlimited use of them, then survival will force you to run in search of the necessary blocks. Especially if you want a beautiful red brick made from clay.
Instructions
Step 1
Despite the fact that clay is a fairly common resource in the Minecraft world, many players do not know where to look for it. So, on the surface, in the mountains, steppes or forests, it cannot be found, as, indeed, in underground caves. Clay is the only resource that can only be found at the bottom of water bodies (in exceptional cases, on the banks of water bodies).
Step 2
Clay is a gray-blue block, in fact, it is sand painted in a different color. For its extraction, it is best to use a shovel, this will greatly speed up the process. Four lumps fall out of one clay block, which can then be reassembled into a block to save space. Clay, as a rule, at the bottom of reservoirs lies in layers of ten to twenty blocks, while the layer can be two blocks deep, if you are lucky.
Step 3
If you are going to explore the bottom of bodies of water at a decent depth, you need to bring some doors and Jack's lamps. Why doors? The fact is that the door installed on the bottom, due to the peculiarities of the game engine, creates two blocks of air, allowing you not to float to the surface every fifteen seconds. Jack's lights do not go out under water and greatly facilitate the process of finding the right blocks. Since the textures of sand and clay are similar, it is quite difficult to distinguish them from each other underwater. And the bottom of reservoirs most often consists of sand.
Step 4
Moving along the bottom of the reservoir, you can find many deposits of clay, so before diving, empty your inventory. If you can, enchant a shovel for good luck. This will increase the yield of the clay. Clay can sometimes be found under village farms.
