It is customary to refer to a special mode of data distribution in some BitTorrent networks as superseed, designed to minimize the amount of information given to the distributor until the first download appears.
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure that you understand how the super-seeding function works: each peer is provided with only one piece of data that is not available to others. Access to the next piece of information is provided only after receiving confirmation of receipt of the previous piece from everyone who downloads.
Step 2
Make sure you are using one of the following BitTorren clients that support super sid mode: - uTorrent; - Azareus; - BitSpirit; - BitTornado; - ABC.
Step 3
Check if the following conditions are met that make the use of the super-seeding mode relevant: - there are no other distributors; - the amount of information is large, and the channel is weak enough; - the need to quickly complete the distribution; - paid outgoing traffic.
Step 4
Open the Torrent Properties window and go to the Advanced tab to enable super-seeding (for uTorrent client).
Step 5
Apply the checkbox to the "Start Sharing" field in the "Other Settings" section and click the OK button to confirm the command execution (for the uTorrent client)
Step 6
Use the Settings for drop-down menu and specify the Super-Seed command to perform the procedure for enabling the Super-Seed mode in the BitTopnado application.
Step 7
Open the "Settings" menu of the upper toolbar of the Azareus window and go to the "Queue" item to perform the operation of enabling the super-seeding mode (for the Azareus client)
Step 8
Select "Serve" and apply the "Enable Super Seeding" checkbox (for Azareus client).
Step 9
Open the "Settings" menu of the BitComet application and go to the "Connection conditions" item to carry out the procedure for activating the super-side mode (for the BitComet client).
Step 10
Change the parameter values: - Maximum connections per job - 1; - Held connections per job - 1; - Globally maximum number of slots on checkout - 1 and click OK to apply the selected changes (for BitComet client).
Step 11
Apply the checkbox to the SuperSid field in the Other Settings section of the Torrent Properties dialog box that opens and confirm your choice by clicking OK (for BitComet client).
