High-quality text formatting not only decorates the article, but also makes it easier to understand. Strikethrough text can unambiguously and concisely convey the meaning of what is written. There are several ways how to cross out words when writing on VKontakte.

Step 1
Use the services of online services that process the text and format it the way you need it. You will need to enter text in the appropriate field and you will get the result: strikethrough text. But, unfortunately, lately this method of converting text into crossed out text on a social network does not always work.
Step 2
Install a special application "VKontakte" (for example, "Status Editor"). Using the capabilities of this mini-program, you can edit your statuses by replacing words with beautiful characters and making strikethrough text.
Step 3
To install the application, go to the appropriate tab in the main menu "VKontakte" and enter "text editor" or "text" in the search bar. From the list displayed, select the application you like and install it on your page.
Step 4
Go to the application and enter the text in the appropriate field, then select the "strikeout text" function and click "Done". The result will be reflected in your status.

Use wiki markup if you want to make strikethrough text in your VKontakte community. Wiki markup is a simplified social media equivalent of HTML code.

To enable wiki mode in your community, go to the Community Management section and select Public in the Info tab next to Content. Go to the home page of your group or public. If you hover the mouse cursor over the "Latest News" link that appears under the description, the "Edit" function appears.
