Necessary

  • - LAN card;
  • - network cable.

Instructions

Step 1

The cheapest way to set up a simultaneous internet connection is to use one of your computers as a proxy server. This is not the most convenient option, because the "main" PC must be turned on even while the user is using another computer. Purchase an additional network card and LAN cable.

Step 2

Connect the network adapter to the PCI slot on the computer's motherboard. If you are using external equipment, connect it to the USB port of your computer or laptop. Remember that the second network card is only needed if the first is connected to the Internet. When connecting to a network using a USB modem or Wi-Fi channel, it is enough to have one LAN-card.

Step 3

Connect the two computers together using a network cable. Turn on the first computer. Go to the list of network connections. Open the properties for connecting to the second computer. Go to the TCP / IPv4 Internet Protocol Settings dialog box.

Step 4

Select "Use the following IP address". Enter its value, for example 59.46.134.1. Save the settings and go to the Internet connection properties.

Step 5

Open the "Access" tab. Check the box next to allowing other users to use this connection. Save the set parameters. Refresh your internet connection.

Step 6

Turn on the second computer. Open the Internet Protocol TCP / IP settings for local connections. Enter a static IP value, for example 59.46.134.25. Remember that it must differ from the IP address of the "host" computer only in the last number.

Step 7

Click the Ok button to save the settings. Wait while the new network connection settings are applied. Check the availability of an internet connection on the second computer.
