Preparatory stages
To place an order on eBay, you need a bank card. The card can be almost any, except for Visa Electron or Maestro (Electronic), they usually have problems when paying, although some people managed to pay for purchases with Maestro cards. Basically, on eBay, sellers work with PayPal, which allows you to transfer money, but not "shine" with card details, in order to avoid possible troubles. To link a card to PayPal, it must have at least two dollars on it.
You need to register for PayPal at paypal.com. You need to register an account of the "Personal" type, it is free and suitable for those who only shop online. Enter your current personal information, check the data several times. Only then click "I agree and open an account". After that, go through the procedure for linking the card to your PayPal account, following the detailed instructions that the system will give you. Now you can go shopping.
How do I shop on eBay?
Go to ebay.com, click the Register button. Enter all information in English, even if you are using the Russian version of the site. After entering the data, a letter with a secret code should be sent to your e-mail. You need to follow the link from the letter and enter the code in the appropriate window. After that, you need to click the Register button again.
A page will open where you need to click on Sign up for PayPal, which will link your accounts in both systems.
Once on eBay, enter the name of the thing you want to find in the search bar. In the center of the screen, you will be shown all options that are at least somewhat suitable for your request. Try to make your search more precise by selecting the search area, the state of the wanted item, and so on in the left column. Look again at the center, wide column of results. It contains brief information on the subject and the seller.
Try to choose sellers with the Top-Rated Seller mark, which means that such a seller has been working for a long time, but at the same time they have very little or no negative reviews.
Click on the option you like, see the delivery terms at the bottom of the screen. The price and terms are indicated there. Please note, even if it is stated that the item is shipped worldwide (Worldwide), it is necessary to check for exceptions. If your country is on the exclusion list, you will have to look for another seller.
To buy an item, click on Buy in Now. A window will open in which you will see the item among those ordered. Click Commit to Buy to confirm your order. You will be informed that the item has been purchased. Then click on Pay Now, after which you will be shown the final price including shipping. In case of any changes, the seller will send you an email with information.
After the specified time, you will receive the goods by mail or using a courier service. Usually, the seller sends all the information about the parcel by letter, so that you can track its movements using the Internet.
