Any operating system has its pros and cons. The disadvantages are usually attributed to the unstable operation of its components. In this case, the software developers have come up with a technology to return to the default settings.
Necessary
Operating system of the Windows family
Instructions
Step 1
As part of the internal programs of Windows operating systems, there is a firewall, the main task of which is to protect the files of the system partition from the interference of malicious applications. For any software running under Windows, there is such a thing as "Factory settings" or "Default settings". The product can be restored to its previous operation in just a few mouse clicks.
Step 2
Often this technology is used when it is impossible to return completed transactions. To restore the system firewall to factory settings, you must start it. Click the Start menu and select Control Panel. In the window that opens, double-click on the "Windows Firewall" icon.
Step 3
On the left side of the window, click the Restore Defaults button (for Windows Vista and Seven). When a window appears asking you to enter your password, enter it and click the confirm button. For the Windows XP operating system, in the window that opens, go to the "Advanced" tab and click the "Default" button in the "Parameters" section. In the window that opens with a request to make changes, click the "Yes" button.
Step 4
In addition to the positive aspects, this method also has negative aspects. Once allowed programs will be completely blocked by firewalls, so additional time is required to configure them.
Step 5
However, this is not the only way to restore the software to its previous correct operation. The same effect can be achieved by using the System Restore tool, which is located in the Start menu (section "System Tools"). After launching it, you need to select the date and click the "Restore" button.
