- - a table of codes for writing characters;
- - examples of symbols.
Instructions
Step 1
If you want to add an interesting character to the VKontakte status, you need to know its code in the international ASCII coding system. To find this code, you can use a standard program in Windows, pick it up yourself, or copy a code already used by someone from the Internet site.
Step 2
Windows has a built-in table of special characters, from which you can select the icon you like and insert it into the VKontakte status. To do this, click the "Start" button, in "Standard" select "System". Start the "Symbol Table" by clicking the left mouse button.
Step 3
Select the symbol you like and click on it with the left mouse button. You will be shown a larger image of the sign. At the bottom of the table, click the "Select" button. The symbol will move to the "To copy" window. Click on the "Copy" button. The symbol is saved to the clipboard. Go to the VKontakte website and insert the selected symbol through the menu of the right mouse button or using the key combination "Shift + Insert" or "Ctrl + v". You can copy a sequence of symbols at once, having previously selected them in the table.
Step 4
You can also insert special characters if you know their code in the table. To enter a character, you need to type a combination of the alt="Image" key and a number on the numeric keypad. For example, the combination "Alt + 14" will display the note symbol ♫. You can search the internet for code lists or try typing different combinations yourself.
Step 5
If you do not want to select the required code yourself or cannot find an interesting symbol in the table, copy it from another site. Many blog topics are devoted to symbols that can be used for VKontakte statuses. You just need to select the icon you like and copy it through the menu of the right mouse button or by the combination of keys "Ctrl + c" or "Ctrl + Insert". And then paste it where you want it.
