Facebook is the largest social network in the world - it is expected to have more than a billion users by the end of 2012. Founded in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg, it is a prime example of the successful implementation of a major Internet project. Recently, however, the company has been facing serious difficulties.

In the summer of 2012, top managers began to leave Facebook one by one. In May, PR director Barry Schnitt left the company to work on the social network Pinterest, in July Bret Taylor resigned from his post. Finally, in early August, three more top managers who were responsible for marketing and working with partners of the social network announced their departure from Facebook. All those who left announced that they would work on their own projects.

Why are top managers leaving Facebook? The dismissal of specialists begins to resemble an escape from a sinking ship. Facebook's troubles began after a very unsuccessful placement of shares in the company, which are constantly falling in value. If at first their cost was $ 38, then by the end of July 2012 it dropped below $ 21. In addition, the company is accused of "winding up" clicks on advertisements, which forces advertisers to spread Facebook illegally, in their opinion, earned money.

However, it is hardly worth linking the departure of Facebook employees to the difficulties faced by the company. The brainchild of Mark Zuckerberg is so great and significant that there is simply no need to talk about its collapse or the prerequisites for this. The dismissal of top managers can be explained simply - someone was lured to other developing companies with good salaries and career prospects, someone is going to develop their own projects.

Another reason for the departure of specialists from Facebook could be the not very healthy atmosphere in the company, it does not always use correct methods of market struggle. In particular, as one of the leading software developers Dalton Caldwell stated in his blog, Zuckerberg's team literally blackmailed him, demanding to sell them his new application, a direct competitor to the App Store, in case of refusal, threatening to destroy his business. Several other software developers have expressed a similar attitude towards them. Therefore, it is not surprising that some of the specialists, who are completely uninterested in scandals and unnecessary problems, decided to leave Facebook for interesting work in their own projects or in other promising companies.
