In cases where it is impossible to uninstall an installed application, it is often necessary to uninstall a service that contains certain items of a previously uninstalled program. This operation will require sufficient computer knowledge and experience in handling computer resources and therefore cannot be recommended for novice users.
Instructions
Step 1
Press the "Start" button to bring up the main menu of the system and go to the "Settings" item to perform the operation of the selected service.
Step 2
Expand the link "Control Panel" and go to the "Administrative Tools" item.
Step 3
Select the "Computer Management" section and go to the "Services and Applications" item.
Step 4
Expand the link "Services" and open the context menu of the service to be deleted by double-clicking.
Step 5
Specify the "Properties" item and copy to the clipboard the name of the selected service from the "Service Name" field on the "General" tab of the dialog box that opens.
Step 6
Return to the main Start menu and go to Programs to launch the Command Prompt tool as administrator.
Step 7
Expand the "Standard" link and open the context menu of the "Command Line" utility by right-clicking.
Step 8
Select "Run as administrator" in the dialog box that opens and enter the value sc delete service_name, where service_name is the name of the service to be deleted, copied to the clipboard.
Step 9
Press the Enter function key to confirm the command and refresh the list of services by pressing F5 to ensure that the selected service has been completely removed.
Step 10
Return to the main Start menu and go to Run to remove the service to be cleaned using the Registry Editor tool.
Step 11
Enter regedit in the Open field and click OK to launch the Registry Editor utility.
Step 12
Expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / System / CurrentControlSet / Services registry key and specify the service to remove.
Step 13
Select the "Delete" command from the "Edit" menu of the top toolbar of the Registry Editor window and click the "Yes" button in the system query window that opens.
Step 14
Exit the Registry Editor tool and restart your computer to confirm the selected changes are applied.
