A lot of users complain about the insufficient speed of Internet access. You can increase it in various ways. Some of them even allow not to increase the subscription fee.
Instructions
Step 1
If access is via GPRS, change your modem or phone to one that supports EDGE, or better - 3G. But remember that as the speed increases, so does the amount of data you consume. Therefore, immediately after that, switch to the unlimited tariff.
Step 2
An access point (APN), intended for WAP, assumes not only increased tariffication of data transmission, but also its lower speed. Change this point to another one intended for Internet access.
Step 3
With an unlimited tariff, the cellular operator still reduces the access speed after reaching a certain amount of received and transmitted data. The threshold after which such a reduction occurs depends on the tariff you choose. If it does not suit you, change it to another and accept some increase in the subscription fee.
Step 4
When accessing via WiFi, the distance between your device and the hotspot plays a big role. Reduce it or use an external antenna, including a homemade one, and the speed will increase. Never connect to someone else's WiFi networks without permission, even if they are open. A decrease in speed can also occur when using WiMax, as well as GPRS / EDGE / 3G. Some of the base stations do not support 3G, then move to the coverage area of the neighboring station (sometimes it is enough to move to the next room for this).
Step 5
If you are still using Dial-Up, switch to ADSL. The speed will increase and the costs will be significantly reduced.
Step 6
When using twisted pair Internet access, check to see if you are using an old 10 Mbps network card.
Step 7
When accessing via ADSL or twisted pair, the speed depends mainly on the tariff you choose. Change it to a more expensive one (within reason), but also necessarily unlimited. If you have been connecting for a long time, check if the provider has a new tariff plan - faster, but at the same time, cheaper (it also happens). Go to it.
