When downloading files from the Internet using browsers, the connection speed may vary. How can this be explained? Step 2
After installing this program, you must run it if you unchecked the "Run automatically" item when installing it. During the launch of the program, a small window will appear on the screen in which you must specify the type of your connection to the Internet. For example, if you are using an ADSL connection with a bandwidth of one megabit, select the T1 item from the drop-down list. When the channel width is larger or smaller, the corresponding value should be selected.
Step 3
After clicking on the "OK" button, the main window of the download manager will appear in front of you. Use the main panel icons to configure the program. If you are going to use the Internet for “surfing” (viewing pages) while downloading files, reduce the maximum download speed: find the “Speed” icon in the toolbar, click it and select “Adjustable”. There is a speed control in the status bar, move the slider from the far right position to the left.
