Sooner or later, many users have to face the need to configure a wireless network at home or in a small office. A very popular equipment for an access point is the Zyxel P330W router, whose settings are simple, versatile and can be easily used in any other access point, including a personal computer.
Instructions
Step 1
Go to the settings panel of the web-interface of the router, for which go to the internal ip-address of its location. Select the "Wireless" section, the "Basic settings" item.
Step 2
Uncheck the "Disable access point" checkbox.
Step 3
Select the wi-fi standard on which your access point will work. Better to choose B + G for better versatility.
Step 4
The next item is the transmission speed given in the wireless network. Varies from 1 to 54 MBit, but it is better to select the "Auto" item, then each connected client will work at its maximum speed.
Step 5
Set the operating mode of your router as "AP", which means "Access point".
Step 6
In the SSID field, select the name of your network, here your imagination is not limited.
Step 7
Go to the "Security" tab of the "Wireless" section of the web interface and in the "WPA Pre-Shared Key" field, enter the password that will be used to enter your wireless network.
Step 8
Use a wireless network in your home or office.
