Minecraft is loved by many millions of gamers around the planet. The game attracts them not by the splendor of the landscapes or the richness of the colors of their world, but rather by the relative freedom of action that any user is endowed with there. At the same time, every gamer is capable of transforming the gaming reality - if he installs interesting textures.
It is necessary
- - suitable texture pack
- - special plugins and programs
Instructions
Step 1
Textures are responsible for the appearance of mobs, structures, tools, natural phenomena and other objects in Minecraft. They are some kind of pictures that "stick" to the surface of various objects in game reality. If you are not satisfied with the standard textures available in this or that "minecraft" version, change them. Look for ready-made texture sets on reliable resources or create your own based on any default ones, using a graphic editor (at least the notorious Photoshop) to transform them.
Step 2
Choose textures that match your version of the game. It happens that recently released texture packs perfectly fit the old versions of Minecraft and vice versa, but this can still be considered a rare piece of luck. Also decide on the desired texture resolution. It fits in the range from 16x16 to 512x512 pixels, but is also found in HD format. High-definition textures will be able to transform the familiar Minecraft world beyond recognition: each object in it will be very realistic and perfectly rendered.
Step 3
If you are satisfied with 16x16 textures, you do not need anything to install them except the set itself. Just download the archive to your computer. Launch your Minecraft, select "Mods and texture packs" or "Texture packs" from the menu, depending on the version of the game. In the older versions, the corresponding button is located right on the main panel. In the window that appears, select the desired folder - and you will see texturepacks. Copy the files there from the archive with the textures you like. Then return to the gameplay and select your texture pack from the menu.
Step 4
If you have a new version of Minecraft, install the texture set with a resolution up to 64x64 in the same way. If you have textures with a higher resolution or even HD, install MCPatcher first. (If you cannot find it, use the OptiFine mod instead, which, moreover, increases the performance of the game.) MCPatcher is created for use on the Java platform and is suitable for various operating systems - Linux, Windows, OS X.
Step 5
Start the installation process for the aforementioned software product. It is fully automated, so your intervention is not required. Only at the very beginning, set the MCPatcher settings you need. When the program is installed, download the HD texture pack you like and install it in Minecraft as described above. Now start the game and enjoy the changed appearance of various objects in it.
