Everyone who uses e-mail services has a secret password to access their mailbox. Sometimes it becomes necessary to change it: in the event of a hacked e-mail or simply because of your own forgetfulness.

Instructions
Step 1
Log in to the mail system by entering your username and old password (if you remember it). Find the link "Settings" or "Properties" located on the main page of the resource.
Step 2
A window with the "Change password" option will open in front of you. Select this option.
Step 3
Enter a new password, you may need to do this twice. Follow the prompts in this section. Most likely, you will be asked to enter the old password from the mail, thereby confirming your right to change the password.
Step 4
Enter your new password in the field provided. Do not use for it a sequence of letters and numbers that is obvious to you, easily chosen. You should not use surnames, dates of birth and other personal information.
Step 5
Click the "Save Changes" button. You may also need to enter the letters and numbers shown in a special window to confirm that the button is pressed not by a robot, but by a person. After these steps, log into the mailbox with a new password.
Step 6
If you have forgotten your old password and want to change it to a new one, you can do this on almost any mail service. On the data entry page, under the data entry field, select the item: "I forgot my password." A window will open in front of you, in which you will need to specify the address of your mailbox and answer a secret question (for example, "your mother's maiden name?"). After a successful response, you will be prompted to enter a new password and save it for later use by mail.
Step 7
In more severe cases, when you cannot change the password by any of the above methods, contact the resource's technical support service. For this, as a rule, there is a special link.
Step 8
Write down the new password in a safe and inaccessible place. After all, it is possible that you too can forget it or confuse it with the old one.
