There are various ways to create a Counter-Strike server. All working files of the game can be located on your computer, ftp-resource or on any Internet server. Choose a more convenient option for yourself.
Necessary
- - Counter-Strike;
- - access to the Internet;
- - FTP-Commander.
Instructions
Step 1
You can use your home computer to create a temporary non-steam game server. Download and install Counter-Strike game. Be sure to download the correct patch, for example v19 or v21. Install the patch files by replacing the working game files.
Step 2
Start the game and open the New Game menu. Open the Game tab and select the options for starting a new server. Go to the Server tab, select the required card and click the Start button.
Step 3
Wait for the new server to load. Open the control console and enter the command sv_lan 1. This will allow players to connect to you not only from the local network, but also from external resources. Adjust the gameplay settings.
Step 4
In the event that the power of your computer is not enough to simultaneously support the server and play on it, then run the hlsd.exe file. It is located in the cstrike directory. First, create a shortcut to the hlds.exe file and open its properties. Enter the following parameters in the Launch Properties field: -game cstrike -console -insecure + sv_lan 1 + map de_nuke. After opening the shortcut, the Counter-Strike game server will be launched.
Step 5
If you want to create a server that will work constantly, use the services of various Internet resources, for example www.forteam.ru. Register on this site and order a new game server.
Step 6
Open the settings control panel and change the configuration of the desired parameters. Open the FTP menu and write down the address of the server where the game files are stored. Upload the AMX mod files to the server using the FTP-commander. This will allow you to install or disable additional plugins in the game.
Step 7
You can run a non-steam server even with the installed version of Counter-Strike Steam. The fact is that when starting a new server, verification on Steam is not automatically turned on. This means that anyone can connect to you.
