TeamSpeak is a special application that is used to communicate in online games. TS servers can be created both specifically for the gaming site, and by individual players who unite in teams, groups, guilds, and so on. The program is quite simple to understand, and to configure the server, you just need to follow clear instructions.
It is necessary
- - Internet access;
- - server;
- - TeamSpeak application.
Instructions
Step 1
Go to the official TeamSpeak website at https://www.teamspeak.com/ and go to the downloads section. Download the latest server version. As a result, you will get a self-extracting archive. TS Server does not require any special installation, so just run the archive and specify the storage location.
Step 2
Find the ts3server win64.exe file in the program folder. Right-click on it and select "Run as administrator". Otherwise, you will not be able to make the necessary changes to the server settings.
Step 3
Study carefully the window that appears after the first start of the TS Server. It contains information about the administrator's login, password and privilege key. Copy this information or rewrite it and save it in a safe place. You will need them when setting up and managing your server. Remember that the password window only appears the first time you start it.
Step 4
Go to the downloads section of the TeamSpeak website and download now directly the communication program itself. Run the application and enter the port and IP address of your server in the appropriate lines, and also give it a name. Click the "Connect" button. By default, you have port 9987 and an IP address of 127.0.0.1, so in order for other users to connect to you, you need to set the external IP address. It can be viewed in the settings of your Internet connection.
Step 5
Open the "Privileges" menu and specify in the corresponding item the administrator key that you received when starting the server. A window will appear confirming the successful use of the key. Then you can change the server settings. Click on its name with the right mouse button and select "Parameters".
Step 6
Here you can specify the password, greeting, name and number of users, as well as set the server picture. Click on the "More" button to open advanced settings, which specify the site banner, server button and additional messages for users.
