A component like a guestbook will be very useful if you want to know the opinions of visitors about your site. Also in the guestbook, users will be able to write reviews and suggestions for the development of the site.
Instructions
Step 1
The reviews module for the Joomla engine is called RSMonials. This component acts as a guest book, where visitors can leave their wishes and suggestions. Download this component on the official website of the developer or on the Russian site of the Joomla engine support.
Step 2
Go to the control panel of your site by entering "your_site / administrator.php" in the address bar, or follow the corresponding link directly from the site itself.
Step 3
To enter the panel, enter the username and password specified when installing the engine (by default, the username is admin). Go to the "Extensions" tab of the main menu, then select "Install a new component" from the drop-down list (or something similar, depending on the translation and engine version).
Step 4
Click on the "Browse" button, find the downloaded component on the local drive of your computer, select it and click on OK. The installation of the new component will begin.
Step 5
Next, go to the "Components" tab from the "Extensions" drop-down menu. Find the installed module and turn it on by clicking on the "cross" in front of the component.
Step 6
Customize the component by clicking on the gear icon. Select the location of this module on your site.
Step 7
Create a new menu for this component: go to the "Menu" tab, select "Show all menus" from the drop-down list. Click on the button for creating a new menu, it is indicated by a green plus.
Step 8
Enter a name for the new menu (for example, "Site Reviews"). Select the place where the menu will be displayed: the root of the main menu, or a sub-item of one of the menu items (for example, the created menu will be displayed when you hover over the item "Home").
Step 9
Select the component to open when clicked (in this case, RSMonials). Save the settings and check the functionality of the created menu by going to your website.
