Step 1
Examine the characteristics of laptops, tablets and communicators that you want to connect to the future network. Check what types of wireless networks these devices work with. In this case, we are talking about the types of radio signals.

Select a Wi-Fi router and install it in the desired location. If the network will include stationary PCs, it is wiser to place the equipment in close proximity to them. Connect the router to AC power. Connect your laptop or desktop PC to the Ethernet (LAN) port of the router.

Now connect the ISP cable to the Internet (WAN) channel. Turn on your computer and open your browser (better to use IE or other popular programs).

Read the instructions for the Wi-Fi router. Find its original IP address. Enter it into the address bar of the running browser. This will allow you to access the hardware settings.

Open the "Network Settings" link. Fill in the provided points to provide the Wi-Fi router with access to the Internet. Save the set parameters.

Go to the Wi-Fi Setup menu. Enter the SSID (Name) of the future wireless access point. Fill in the "Password" and "Confirm Password" fields. Specify the parameters of the Wi-Fi router. In this case, it is recommended to be guided by the requirements of the adapters of mobile devices. It is best to use mixed 802.11b / g / n broadcast.

Reboot the router by unplugging the power supply. Sometimes this procedure can be done programmatically. After loading the device, open the "Status" tab and check the activity of the connection with the provider.
