The Web Plugins extension is installed on computers to be able to download videos and audio recordings from VK.com and Youtube. This plugin also includes its own advertisements in the user's browser, which may interfere with its use. Removing an extension from the system is done in several steps.

Step 1
Disable the launch of the Web Plugins service from the startup menu. To do this, open the Start menu and enter msconfig in the application search bar at the bottom of the menu window. You can also press the key combination Win and R to bring up the "Run" menu, in which you can also enter msconfig and get into the desired utility for configuring system parameters.
Step 2
In the window that appears, go to the "Startup" tab. Here is a list of programs that are launched when the system boots. In the list provided, uncheck the WebPlugins line and click "OK" to apply the changes.
Step 3
Remove the plugin from the browser you are using. The procedure for uninstalling an extension may vary depending on the version of the program. If you are using the Chrome application, open a browser window and click on the context menu icon located in the upper right part of the window that appears. Select the section "Tools" - "Extensions". In the above list, click the "Remove" link under the Web Plugins line and confirm the operation.
Step 4
In the Opera browser, removal is done through the extension manager, which can be invoked by clicking on the Opera menu button in the upper left corner of the program. Click on "Extensions" or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl, Shift and E. Click on the "Remove" item in the Webplugins line to completely remove the extension.
Step 5
If you are using Firefox, click on the menu icon in the upper left part of the program window and call the menu "Tools" - "Advanced" - "Plugins". Click on the "Remove" button next to the WebPlugins item. After completing the procedure, restart your browser. Removal of Web Plugins is complete.
