Instructions

Step 1

On any of the hard drives on your computer, create a folder where the files for your site will be stored. Give it any name you like. Inside this folder, create another folder and name it Images - it will store the graphic elements of the site, pictures, buttons, menus, and more.

Step 2

For further correct display of all data on the Internet, write all names and headings in Latin script.

Step 3

Go to the created folder and in the menu select the "Tools" tab, and then - "Folder Options". In the window that opens, go to the "View" tab and find the line "Hide extensions for registered file types" in the list. Uncheck this line, then click OK.

Step 4

Now that you have enabled the display of extensions, go to the folder again and, by clicking the right mouse button, call the context menu, in which select the item "New> Text Document". A new notepad file will appear in the folder. This file will be the basis for the first and main page of your site. Since you just enabled the extensions, the file should appear in the folder as "Text Document.txt".

Step 5

Rename the text file manually - remove all name, including the extension, and change to index.htm. Confirm renaming. Open the resulting html file using any browser, and then open the source code of the page in the appropriate browser menu. Copy the code you saw and paste it into the index.htm file by opening it with notepad - this code will become the basis for the page, and you will embed all the other site parameters into it.

Step 6

Find the tags in the copied code and enter the site name between them, removing all spaces between the letters and brackets of the tags. In the meta name tag, enter the keywords that characterize your site.

Step 7

Start filling the main page of the site with text content - enter any phrase between the tags, and then see how it looks on the page of the site by opening the file not with a notepad, but with a browser. Having understood the principle of creating the main html page, you can master the work with the rest of the tags, and then add content to the site, design it and create additional pages.
