The development and debugging of any Internet site is a rather difficult task that takes time and, in fact, access to the site. Not everyone can afford to rent hosting and a domain name to experiment with creating an Internet resource. But there is a special program that will help you get the site up and running on your computer.
Instructions
Step 1
Download the Denwer utility. To do this, open any browser, go to the project page at https://www.denwer.ru/. The main page of the site contains a link to the constantly updated distribution of the software package. It includes all the necessary components for developing websites and applications. The basic set includes Apache server, MySQL support for working with databases. And also PHP, which is necessary for the installation and operation of many site content management systems.
Step 2
You can easily expand the capabilities of the standard set. To do this, download and install the additional modules you need from the developer's site. Moreover, the entire project is free and very functional.
Step 3
Run the downloaded Denwer distribution. This can be done via the context menu with the right mouse button or simply by double-clicking on the file. You will see an installation console window and a message from the program installation wizard. Select the drive and folder for the program, and also specify whether you want to create shortcuts on the desktop. It is best to accept the default options.
Step 4
During installation, the program will offer to create a virtual disk for the server. Agree with this proposal and assign any free Latin letter for the "additional" disk. In fact, this virtual disk will be limited by the size of the partition you installed Denwer on. Three shortcuts will appear on your desktop: Run Denwer, Stop and Restart. They are needed to start, stop and restart the web server. Please note that the installation must take place with an account with full rights, that is, "Computer Administrator".
Step 5
Start Denwer virtual web server. Click on the Run Denwer icon and wait until the black and white system console windows indicate that all services have successfully started. Then check if the web server and its components have been successfully installed. Open any browser and type 127.0.0.1 or localhost in the address bar. In both cases, you will see a welcome page from the developers and help information for using this suite of programs.
Step 6
Copy the folder with the site you created to the Denwer installation directory, to the / home directory. For example, the Denver installation path is C: Webservers. Open this folder and find the home directory where your site should be located. The correct directory structure must be observed, otherwise you will not be able to activate the site on your computer. If everything is done correctly, you can proceed to the last action.
Step 7
Type in the address bar of your browser the name of your site, according to the name of the folder in the home directory. If you have created only one page, include the full name of the "site" and the title of the page.
