Step 1
If you have a Yandex or Mail.ru mailbox:
In the "Menu" item of the program, select "Box" - "New mailbox". In the window that appears, enter a name for the mailbox (Mail or Yandex). Click Next.
In the next window that appears, enter your first and last name, as well as your email address. Click Next.
In the next window, find the section "Use the protocol to access the mail server." There, check "POP3 - Post Office Protocol v3". Find the Server field for receiving mail, write pop.mail.ru (or pop.yandex.ru) there. In the Outgoing mail server line, specify the smtp.mail.ru (smtp.yandex.ru) parameter. Check the box next to My SMTP Server Requires Authentication.
In the next window, enter your username and password for the mailbox, check the box "Leave letters on the server".
Answer in the affirmative to the question "Do you want to check the rest of the mailbox properties?" Click Finish. If necessary, configure the program by going to the "Mailbox properties" tab.
Step 2
If you have a Gmail inbox:
Go to your mailbox on the server. Open the menu "Settings" - "Forwarding and POP / IMAP". In the "POP Access" section, click "Enable POP for all emails", "Enable POP for emails received from now on." Select the appropriate condition from the drop-down list ("When emails are downloaded using POP").
Click "Save Changes". Now go back to creating a new The Bat!
Proceed in the same way as in the instructions for Yandex and Mail.ru, indicating the appropriate address (pop.gmail.ru, smpt.gmail.ru).
When you see a window with the "User" field, then enter your email address in full ([email protected]). Enter the password, click "Finish".
Go to mailbox properties. Open the Transport tab. In the "Sending mail" section in the "Connection" line, put "Secure on std. port (STARTTLS) ". In the "Port" section - 465 or 587. In the "receiving mail" - "Connection" section, change the connection type to "Secure on special." port (TLS) "," Port "- 995.
