A web folder, or, as it can be designated on a computer, Web Folder, is a specific protocol for transferring necessary files that ensures their delivery on the Internet without the danger of violating the confidentiality of the transmitted information. These folders allow you to securely receive various files, as well as transfer information electronically and manage them from a remote computer on the Internet.
Instructions
Step 1
Web Folder ensures password safety and data encryption if SSL is used on the server. This folder is stored on a server remote from the user, and you can do with it in the same way as with ordinary computer folders. However, not all servers support Web Folder, only those that have the Microsoft FrontPage extension or use WebDAV technology.
Step 2
If the folder is visible on your computer, it means that the Web Folders service is enabled there. This feature provides the ability to work with web folders in the same way as with regular local ones. If you do not need this service, you can disable it using the following sequence of actions. On the desktop, by clicking the "Start" button, enter the "Control Panel", then select the "Administrative Tools" function and enter "Services", where and disable this service.
Step 3
If the computer is working normally, you can delete the folder visible on the desktop or on any disk through the "remove programs" installation, which is located in the Windows components.
Step 4
There are also situations when such web folders appear by themselves, without having been previously installed by the user. In this case, it is worth checking your PC for viruses introduced into it. There is a so-called "Trojan" virus on the network called "Web Folders" - it is possible that it appeared on your computer. This virus also brings with it the csrcs.exe program, which must be found and removed in the PC in such a situation.
Step 5
In the case when deleting a web folder is difficult, use the Unlocker 1.8.7 utility, which is specially designed to eliminate folders and files that cannot be deleted, like ordinary documents. Install the utility and then delete the file by simply using the right mouse button. "Unlocker" will appear in the list of possible actions with the document, by clicking which, the web folder will be deleted.
