The rapid development of web technologies has led to a significant increase in the capabilities and simplification of tools for creating sites. Anyone can now make their own website. Site development ends with its publication on the server. The published site becomes available to Internet users from all over the world.
Instructions
Step 1
Select a domain name - a pseudonym under which the site will be available on the Internet. The domain name does not have to correspond to the name of the site, but it is desirable that it resonates with it in meaning. Try to choose harmonious and beautiful, but at the same time, names that are not too long so that the user can easily remember it. Remember that the first impression of the user depends on the choice of the name, which is formed even before the first page of the site is opened. Make sure your chosen domain name is free. Second-level domain names (such as site.ru or site.net) are usually provided for a fee, while third-level domains (such as site.org.ru or site.co.cc) are free.
Step 2
Choose a hosting. There are both paid and free hosting. The downside of paid hosting is the need for a monthly payment, while free hosting has limited functionality (limitation on the amount of disk space, lack of script support). In addition, providers providing free services can place their own banner on the page, which negatively affects the usability of your site. Choose a hosting based on financial capabilities and web technologies required for the site to work. Please note that when purchasing a paid hosting for a long term, you may be given the opportunity to register a second-level domain name for free.
Step 3
Register with the hosting provider. When registering, enter your chosen domain name. If you have chosen paid hosting, pay for it.
Step 4
Upload the site to the hosting provider's server. For this, the FTP protocol is usually used. Make sure that during registration you were sent a login and password to access the FTP server. They may differ from the login and password used to access the site admin panel. Upload files to the server using an FTP client such as FileZilla, or whichever one you choose. Make sure that the executable files are in the appropriate directories. Set the required permissions to execute scripts.
Step 5
Check site availability. Remember that it can take more than 24 hours from the moment a domain name is registered before all DNS server records are updated and the site is available to users.
