According to the recommendation of specialists in the field of site building, before starting to create your own Internet page, you must install a local server on your work computer. Having developed a site layout, you can safely transfer it to paid hosting.
It is necessary
- - distribution kit of the site platform on Joomla;
- - local server;
- - FileZilla software.
Instructions
Step 1
A local server is an artificially created shell that mimics the commands and actions performed by the original server. In other words, using a local server, you can create a website on your own computer and see how it will look and work in real conditions. After developing a model for your site, you need to move it to a real remote server.
Step 2
This procedure is quite simple if you take into account all the nuances of its execution. To transfer, you will need to copy all the directories that were created using the local server.
Step 3
First of all, you should export the database, which has the sql extension. This can be done using phpMyAdmin. To go to this utility, just add its name to the address bar of your browser (between the utility name and the main line, you must put a "/" sign).
Step 4
On the phpMyAdmin page, go to the Export Database Tables section and save the resulting file. You can save it to the folder with your future site or simply to the "Desktop".
Step 5
After gaining access to the remote server, you should import the database table and copy all the directories of your site. It should be noted that you do not need to copy the Installation and Cash folders. On the remote server, you just need to create a new Cash folder. Copying directories is best done with FileZilla.
Step 6
In the root directory of your site (on a remote server) open the Configuration.php file, you need to change it. Variable names to be changed start with $ mosConfig. You need to change the values of the commands that come after $ mosConfig.
Step 7
The address of your database is usually set in the host variable, and the username and password for this database should be set in user and password. The name of the database and the path to the site files are prescribed in db (data base) and absolute_path, respectively. Pay attention to the variable in which you need to specify the path to the site files - this information should be obtained from the technical support service.
Step 8
The final touch will be the assignment of rights marked "777" to the administrator's personal folders. This can be done using the same FileZilla ftp manager.
