Step 1
To set up a LAN connection, go to the "Start" - "Control Panel" menu. In the window that appears, select "Network and Sharing Center". In the menu on the left, click on the link "Change adapter parameters".

Right-click on the Local Area Connection icon and select the Properties menu. If you do not have this shortcut, check if the cable is connected to the network card of the computer and if the correct drivers for the network card are installed.

In the dialog box that appears, uncheck the "Client for Microsoft Networks", "File Sharing" and "Internet Protocol Version 6" options. After that, select the "Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP / IPv4)" with the left mouse button and press the "Properties" button.

In the window that appears, specify the parameters of your connection, which will be communicated to you by the network administrator or Internet service provider. If the connection is made automatically via DHCP, select the "Obtain an IP address automatically" item. If you need to enter an IP address, select "Use the following IP address" and specify the appropriate parameter. Specify the subnet mask, default gateway and DNS server in the same way.
Step 5
After making the settings, click "OK" and check the network functionality. In the event that all the settings are made correctly, you will be able to connect to local Internet resources and see the data that is shared on other computers in the network.
