Not wanting to miss out on visitors who access the Internet through mobile phones and other digital devices, many site owners have begun to develop lightweight versions of resources that save user traffic and contain a minimum of advertising.
Instructions
Step 1
Many sites that have their own portable versions, when identifying a user's mobile device, automatically redirect him to the appropriate page. However, despite the fact that the Internet is developing very quickly, not all resources have such an opportunity. However, it's worth a try. Use your device's browser to visit your favorite site. If instead of a voluminous large-width page with pictures, ads, banners and other mandatory attributes of every popular site, you see an optimized page for the screen size, and the amount of useful information is greater than advertising - most likely, the resource owner made the appropriate settings that allowed you to go to the mobile version of the site by entering a familiar address.
Step 2
Many mobile versions of sites differ from the fully functional version. Quite often, various prefixes are used to designate them, which are written with a dot to the usual address. The most commonly used prefixes:
• pda;
• m;
• mobile;
• wap.
The latter, however, were widespread earlier, when, instead of gprs traffic, cellular operators actively imposed expensive wap traffic on users. But now there are also many sites with this prefix. Thus, in order to access the mobile versions of sites, enter the site address with the appropriate prefix in the phone browser. Or try a few of them if you don't know which one works.
Step 3
If you use the Internet solely to obtain information, you are not interested in advertising and advanced functionality of resources, you can go to the mobile versions of sites directly from your computer browser. To do this, enter the appropriate address in the line and enjoy the mini-version of your favorite site.
