The need to use a proxy server can arise in a variety of situations. Knowing exactly how to do this will help you quickly solve your challenges.
Instructions
Step 1
A proxy server is an intermediate computer between your computer and the Internet. It can be useful in a variety of situations - for example, if you want to surf the Internet anonymously or just speed up the loading of pages. The latter is possible if the server is fast, that is, it has the required speed. On the other hand, if the speed is bad, the network will become very slow.
Step 2
There are three main possibilities for finding a good proxy server. First, pay for the opportunity to use a high-quality proxy server. The cost of the service can be about 150-250 rubles per month. For this money, you will receive a reliable and convenient service.
Step 3
Find a suitable option in the lists of proxy servers posted on the network. The disadvantage of this method is that free proxies usually "live" for a very short time, within a few hours. But there are happy exceptions, some servers can be used for days or weeks. This method can be considered the simplest; with the proper patience, you can always find a couple of good options for yourself.
Step 4
Find a quality server yourself using special programs that scan ip-ranges in the search for proxy servers. The method is good, but it requires the presence of appropriate programs and some skills. You should be aware that scanning the ip range is quite a slippery occupation. For example, if computers of law enforcement agencies fall into the range of addresses you scan, people in civilian clothes may come to you and politely ask why you are doing this.
Step 5
Proxy server found. How do I use it? If you need it for surfing the Web, then just enter its address and port number in the browser settings. For example, if you have Opera, then open: "Service - Settings - Advanced - Network - Proxy servers". Mark the required data transfer protocols with "birds", specify the server address and port number. To configure in the Firefox browser, open: "Tools - Options - Advanced - Network - Configure". In the tab that opens, specify the required data.
Step 6
Sometimes it becomes necessary to run a program through an anonymous server that does not have its own capabilities for such work. In this case, special programs can help - for example, FreeCap or Proxifier. These programs intercept Internet traffic, directing it to the server specified in their settings. In the settings, you must also specify the programs that you want to run through the proxy. And vice versa, if you, for example, have Proxifier running and you need some program not to use a proxy server, you specify this in the settings. In general, working with FreeCap and Proxifier is simple, all settings are intuitive and do not cause any difficulties.
