The browsing history of the Internet Explorer browser displays all the information about the Internet pages you open. Data is provided for a certain period of time - from several days to weeks and months. Use the following algorithm to clear the log or delete it altogether.
Instructions
Step 1
Open an Internet Explorer browser window. In the window that appears, in the top command line, find the "View" option. Click on it with the left mouse button. Select the Log option. A window should appear with the tabs "Favorites", "Feeds", "Journal".
Step 2
Go to the "History" tab. You will see a list of visited resources. The specified pages will be grouped by the time you opened them, and will be named, for example: "Today", "Tuesday", "Monday", "Last week", "Last month", etc. Left-clicking on one of these groups, you can expand the list of visited pages for any specific day of the week.
Step 3
If you want to delete only some entries from the visit log, just right-click on them and select "Delete" in the context menu that appears. The program will ask you if you really want to delete this entry and will offer two options: "Yes" and "No". Clicking Yes will remove the entry or group of entries from the Internet Explorer visitbook.
Step 4
In order to completely delete the browsing history in Internet Explorer, go to "Tools" in the browser command line. A tab will appear next to it, select "Delete Browsing History". A dialog box will appear prompting you to select various data to be deleted. Check the "Log" option and click the "Delete" button. After that, all the information that was in the previously opened visit log will disappear.
Step 5
Adjust the length of time that data is kept in the Internet Explorer history. To do this, go to the "Tools" menu and select "Internet Options". In the "General" tab, go to the "Browsing history" section and click the "Options" button. Set manually the time period for which you want to keep the history of visited pages.
