Step 1
There are two ways to delete your LiveJournal account. They differ only in the sequence of actions. Exit to the main page of "LiveJournal". This can be done without authorization. You will not get to your blog, but in this case it does not matter.
Step 2
Enter your password and username and log in. Of course, your data must correspond to the account you want to liquidate. You can also open any LJ page, log in and only then go to the main page. This is useful if you have not been to your blog for a long time and have not saved your registration information in your browser. There are three types of accounts in LiveJournal - basic, ad-supported or paid. Anyone can be deleted, but the payment already made for the third type of account is not refundable.
Step 3
Find the link "Account Status" and click on it. Exit to the appropriate page. There you will see a window in which at the moment, most likely, there is an inscription "active". Click on the button next to it. You will see a drop-down window that prompts you to change your account status to deleted. Before clicking on the "Change status" button, consider whether you want to delete all your comments at the same time. If you want - check the box in the cat, which is a little higher. There it is proposed to either delete all comments altogether, including in communities and other people's blogs, or only to their posts.
Step 4
Look in the mailbox that you indicated when registering for "LJ". You should receive a letter with a message that you have 30 days to think about it. Only after this period will the account disappear completely. Up to this point, you can restore your blog. All records, pictures and links are saved in this case.
