The administrator of any site dreams of making his resource popular, convenient and attracting visitors. There are many ways to achieve the goal. One of them is to make an RSS news feed for the site. RSS is a special XML format that allows you to create a description of news, announcements, and this format allows you to see the most important information, save time and Internet traffic of the chat visitor.
Instructions
Step 1
Start the Notepad program and enter the text:
All RSS feeds must begin with this code.
It indicates that this is an XML document and it was created for version 2.0.
Step 2
Below are the tags. Between them will be information about our news feed, name, link to the site, channel description and news itself.
Step 3
After the tag, write:
The title of your news feed. In fact, its name
Link to your site
Briefly describe your news feed. For example, “News from all over the world, achievements of science and technology.
Enter the date when your RSS feed was last modified here. The date must be specified in RFC 2822 format. If you cannot convert the date to this format yourself, use the online service (https://earninguide.biz/webmaster/rfc2822.php) Date entry cheat sheet
1) enter the date in English;
2) the format of the date "Day of the week, Day, Month, Year, Time";
3) Sun - Sunday, Mon - Monday, Tue - Tuesday, Wed - Wednesday, Thu - Thursday, Fri - Friday, Sat - Saturday.
Step 4
Each separate news or announcement will be located between the tags.
It should look like this:
Title of the announcement, title of the first article, and so on
Be sure to include a link to the full text of the article or announcement in the format
News text. At the same time, here you can indicate the announcement of the article or its beginning, post the most interesting facts that should attract a subscriber.
Specify the date of publication of the news.
Step 5
Don't post many headlines at once. It is optimal if there will be no more than 10 pure announcements in the RSS feed.
Step 6
In addition, when creating an RSS feed, you can use optional tags that reflect, for example, the author of the news:
1.e-mail [email protected] (and the author's pseudonym)
2.https:// link to the comment page for this article
3.the language of the news feed, for example ru-ru
4. Actually, copyright
5. Name of the creator of the RSS feed
6. Link to your ribbon icon or image

At the end of the document, add tags

Save the file under any name you like in the Latin alphabet. When saving, select "all files" and add the nazvanie.xml extension. You can rename the file by changing the extension after saving in txt format.
Step 9
Add the file using, for example, an ftp client to your site. Place the link to your file in a prominent place, add it to rss-mailing services so that users can easily subscribe to your news feed.
In order to find out how many people have subscribed to your rss feed, use a convenient service from Google (https://feeds.feedburner.com/.) and post the modified link on your website
Step 10
You can create an rss feed and upload it to the site using a number of convenient programs, for example:
1) Feed Editor;
2) Feed Mix;
3) RSS Wizard;
4) and others.
