Cat - from English "cut" - a blog function that allows you to hide the main text. As a result, only announcements and a link to the full article in the form of the words "Read more" or a similar phrase are displayed on the main page. Each blog uses its own encoding for the design of the kata.
Instructions
Step 1
LJ is one of the most popular blogging platforms. It uses two types of kats - the standard one is formatted with tags: hidden text. The link to the full article will be the text (“Read More”). To use other link text, the tags are: Hidden text.
Step 2
In a blog on Ya.ru, the tags of the standard kata look like this: Text under the cut. The link to the continuation will be the word “More”. When using more complex tags: Text under the cut - the text of the link to the full message can be varied.
Step 3
The described tags can be used in HTML editing mode. If you prefer a visual editor, select the appropriate recording type and the "With layout" mode. Click the Insert Frame command. Select the text to be removed under the cut, click "Insert frame". In the field that appears, enter the short text of the link to the full message.
Step 4
In other services, you can also use kat in visual mode by pressing buttons with synonymous names.
