To remove under the cut - from the English "cut, cut" - means to hide the text for ease of reading. As a result of using the kata, only the first paragraph of the message is visible in general viewing of the diary, and the full text appears when you click on the link. Depending on the type of platform, you can use different HTML codes or visual editor tools.
Instructions
Step 1
When designing a kata on the LJ platform, the tag indicated in the illustration is placed in front of the removed text. As a result, a link with the text "Read more" will be placed instead of the text. Naturally, if you wish, you can replace it with other words.
Step 2
If you do not want to insert any special text, use an abbreviated version of this tag. It is shown in the illustration.
Step 3
At the end of the removed text, insert the tag indicated in the illustration. Please note that the cut is not visible when previewing.
Step 4
On the Yandex platform, you can insert a cat through a visual editor or using HTML codes. In the visual editor, open the "With layout" mode, then click the "Insert frame" button. Select the text to remove and click the Insert Frame command. In the context menu, in the field, insert words that will be highlighted instead of the removed text during the general examination (for example, "Read more"). Then click the "Publish" command.
Step 5
The HTML-mode tag differs from the LJ kata by the absence of the letters lj. An example of the code is shown in the illustration. After pasting, click the "Publish" button or "See What Happens" if you are not sure about the result. The underlined details must be present.
