Often there are cases when owners lose their domains, forgetting to pay the registrar on time, due to some kind of failure, or as a result of fraudulent actions of third parties. Regardless of the reasons for the loss of a domain, start its recovery by contacting the registrar.
It is necessary
- - passport;
- - application;
- - money to pay for services.
Instructions
Step 1
Domain registration authorities usually set recovery periods during which domains deleted due to non-payment can be returned. At the end of this period, the domain goes into a deferral stage when it cannot be restored. To find out in what period your domain is located, enter the control panel at the address specified in the agreement and on the domain registration center website. Upon completion of the deletion from the registry and the end of the grace period, the domain can be re-registered by anyone. Please note that the procedure for restoring your domain is expensive and time-consuming - up to 5 business days or more.
Step 2
If you are registered as a domain administrator, pay for the restoration and renewal of the domain registration. Also, email a recovery request with the domain name. In response to it, you will receive a link for authorization, which is valid for 24 hours. By clicking on it, you confirm your consent to restore the domain and pay for the corresponding services. You will be informed about the restoration and renewal of the domain by e-mail, the address of which you indicated in the agreement. For details of recovery, see the instructions on the website of your domain registrar.
Step 3
In all other cases, to restore the domain, personally visit the office of the registrar with a passport. At the office, write an application for domain restoration and pay for this service according to the registrar's tariffs. If for some reason you cannot visit the office in person, send a notarized letter. Certification by a notary public is required in order to verify your identity. Also enclose in the letter notarized copies of your passport pages, an application for domain restoration in free form and a receipt for payment for the restoration and renewal of registration.
