HTML, BB-code, and Wiki markup tools allow you to place links in text. The page visitor does not have to manually copy the URL to the clipboard and paste it into the address bar. One click of the mouse is enough to navigate through it.
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure that the page you intend to link to does not violate anyone's copyright, related rights, or citizen's image rights. In addition, make sure that the page does not contain offensive, obscene or extremist material. Then move the mouse arrow to the address bar of the browser and press the left mouse button so that the cursor appears in this line. Press Ctrl-A and the page address will be highlighted. Copy it to the clipboard by pressing Ctrl-C.
Step 2
Go to the adjacent browser tab where you type a forum post or edit a Wiki page or HTML file in an online editor. If it is edited in a separate editor, go to the appropriate window. Move the cursor to where you insert the link, and then press Ctrl-V.
Step 3
Now style the link by placing tags around it. If the language in which the source code of the page is written is HTML, use the following construction for this:
This link leads to a conditional tutorial page that doesn't exist, where https://name.domain/folder/pagename.html is the URL of the page you want to link to.

To post a link to a forum where the BB-code markup language is used, you don't have to design it in any way - just put the URL in the text, and the Content Management System (CMS) will then format the result itself as a link that you can click on. But this method is inconvenient, since the URL, even if it is of considerable length, will be displayed on the screen. Sometimes this threatens to increase the width of the page, which may be taken by other forum visitors as a deliberate attempt at trolling. To display a comment to a link instead of a URL, style it like this:

Step 5
How you insert a link into the text of a Wiki markup page depends on whether the target page is local. If so, put its name in double square brackets, for example:go. If, for example, write [accelerator | collider], then the link will lead to the “accelerator” page, and the word “collider” will be displayed on the screen. Links leading to pages located outside the server, use single square brackets and a space instead of a vertical bar, for example, like this:
