The social network "VKontakte" allows users to create communities and interest groups, which can be joined by certain individuals or everyone. At the request of the creator, one of several types of group can be installed.
Instructions
Step 1
Log in to the VKontakte social network using the username and password of the community administrator. Go to the desired page and find under the logo on the right side of it the link "Transfer to page" or "Transfer to group" depending on the current type of community. By clicking on the link, you will see a window with a warning about the changes that will occur to the community after changing its type.
Step 2
If you want to transfer the group to a page, please note that after that the "News" block will be missing in it, the list of current invitations to the group will be cleared, the posts on the wall not published on behalf of the administration will disappear, the "Documents" block will become inaccessible, and the " Discussions”will move to the right side of the page. In addition, now the information on the page can be seen by all users of the social network.
Step 3
In the case of transferring a page to a group, remember that its members will no longer be able to recommend news for publication, and those already proposed will be posted on the wall. Also, all sections will disappear, and the meetings created by the administration will go to the "Events" block, which cannot be hidden.
Step 4
Specify additional options when changing the community type. For example, when translating a group into a page, you can make it open so that everyone can join it. You can also set limited access to the group, for example, if it is academic. After receiving a request from those wishing to join the community, the administrator will have to approve the application. Another type is a private group. Only the administrator himself can invite users to it.
Step 5
