In order for the site to be truly interesting and informative, install a photo gallery. To install a photo gallery on your site, use JoomGallery - a popular component for Joomla that has many features and capabilities.
Instructions
Step 1
Download the latest version of JoomGallery from the developer's site (https://www.en.joomgallery.net/downloads.htm), according to which version of Joomla you already have installed. Go to your Joomla admin panel and select Install / Remove from the Extensions menu. Find the file with the downloaded JoomGallery archive in the extension manager and click the Download / Install button. If the installation was successful, you will receive a notification.
Step 2
Despite the fact that by default JoomGallery is in English, you can download files for other languages on the same developer's site. To do this, on the JoomGallery download page, select the JoomGallery: Languages section, find the required language (for example, Russian) and download the file. Install the language in Joomla in the same way as before and JoomGallery.
Step 3
Open Joomla and select JoomGallery from the Components menu. Set the necessary settings for adding photos. Create a category and upload a photo using the corresponding sections of the menu. When adding a photo, you should select the desired file on your computer, then select a category and give it a name with a description in the gallery. Click the "Download" button located at the bottom of the page.
Step 4
Create a menu for your photo gallery to appear on the site. Select in the Joomla admin panel in the menu "All Menus" the item where you want to add a photo gallery. The menu can be created by you in advance, for which in the "Menu items" section, press the "Create" button. In the "Menu Item" window that appears, select JoomGallery, select a title and a nickname (it is better to write it in Latin, as it will be part of the link) and click the "Save" button. See if the link to the photo gallery has appeared in the top menu of the site.
