Today, many cafes, restaurants, hotels and even halls at train stations and at the airport are equipped with access points to a wi-fi network. While waiting for an order or transport, you can connect via a laptop and usefully spend your time.

Instructions
Step 1
Make sure you are in a wi-fi network area. To inform visitors of cafes, shopping centers, halls at the airport, for this purpose, there is a Wi-fi Zone or Wi-fi Free sign.
Step 2
Turn on the laptop and wait until the operating system is fully loaded.
Step 3
Make sure the wireless adapter is turned on. Its status is indicated by an indicator located on the front of the laptop. Typically, it looks like a wireless network icon. Some models do not have a separate switch. Then this function is performed by one of the F1-F12 keys located in the upper row of the keyboard. It has a graphic drawing of the antenna icon.
Step 4
After turning on the wireless adapter, the laptop will automatically find all available networks in the zone of which it is located. An icon for available wireless networks will appear in the lower right corner of the taskbar. Click on it to see the list. Select the desired wi-fi network from the list provided and click on the "Connect" button.
Step 5
If the wi-fi network is open access, for example, in a cafe, hotel, an authorization window will open with information about the institution or network and instructions on how to get access.
Step 6
If the wi-fi network is a closed type, a security key request will appear on the screen. In this case, you need to contact the administration of the institution with a request to provide you with a username and password for access.
Step 7
When the connection is established, open a browser, type the address of the desired site in the command line and go to it.
