A client program called DC ++ allows you to exchange files very efficiently, including thanks to a special hub server. The hub processes the lists of those files that are open to access on your computer, and transfers the processing results to other users.

Instructions

Step 1

If you want to have access to several such hubs at once, you need to add them to a special hublist. To do this, find out the addresses of those servers that you want to make your favorites in the DC ++ client. Go to the website or forum of the Internet provider and view information about local hubs. Rewrite the addresses of the selected servers. If you are interested in publicly available hubs, such as the "World List" - dchublist.com, or the "Russian List" - dchublist.ru, please rewrite their data separately.

Step 2

Add hubs to your favorite servers list by opening the DC ++ client program and logging in. Click on the "View" tab in the main menu of the program and select the "Favorite hubs" section. In the list that appears, select the "New" option and go to the subsection on creating a new list. When the “Hub Properties” window appears on the screen with empty cells, fill them in with the data for the selected server: in the “Name” field, enter the name of the hub, and in the “Address” field, enter information about the address of the hub location. After that click on "Add" and then on "OK".

Step 3

If you want the Favorite Hub to automatically appear on the screen every time you start DC ++, check the box next to the name of the selected server. To quickly connect to the hub, click on it and click on "Connect".

Step 4

When adding so-called public hubs - those servers from which you download only on a paid basis when using tariffs with paid traffic - the process of creating a hublist changes. First, find the servers that you are interested in, then, as in the previous case, start the client. In the DC ++ main menu, find the "List of public hub lists" section and select the "Configuration" subsection. In the window that appears, enter the link to the selected server and click "Add", and then click the "OK" button.
