The procedure for opening an e-mail box is usually clear to most users, since many different instructions and articles have been written about it. Unfortunately, much less is said about a procedure such as deleting a mailbox. That is why not every user knows how to delete a mailbox if it is no longer needed.
At the same time, deleting a mailbox is a procedure, all the subtleties of which you need to know for your own safety. Indeed, if the data (login and password) are received by intruders, your mailbox can be used by them at their discretion. So, how can you delete a mailbox if it is located on one of the popular mail services?
1. If your mailbox is located on the yandex.ru service, you can delete it quite easily. To do this, you need to enter your mailbox directly or through the "yandex passport" system, having logged in. Once you enter your mailbox, you will see the “settings” link at the top (it is highlighted in gray). By clicking on this link, you will see a settings page with a corresponding menu. In this menu, you need to find the link "delete mailbox". By clicking on it, we will be taken to a page with a standard form for deleting a mailbox. After filling out the form and entering the appropriate password, you must click on the "delete" button. This operation will completely delete your mailbox.
2. If your mailbox is located on the mail.ru service, to delete it you will need to log in and use a special interface that will be available to you directly from the mailbox. You can delete it only after you enter the full name of the mailbox you want to delete in the "Username" field and select the appropriate domain from the drop-down list. In the "Password" field, you must enter the correct password for this mailbox and click the "Delete" button. After that, your mailbox will be completely freed from the content, and access to it will be blocked. But the name under which this mailbox was registered will be released no earlier than three months after it was deleted.
3. If your mailbox is located on the rambler.ru service, you can delete it using one of two existing methods. If you want to completely delete your name and the corresponding mailbox on rambler.ru, you should log in to the page https://id.rambler.ru and click the link “delete name” there. After confirming the operation, the account will be deleted along with the mailbox. The second way is to simply send the login and password of the mailbox to be deleted to the email address [email protected]. It will be closed and removed.
