The modules are designed to perform a wide variety of tasks, including customer recognition, communication with users, visit counter, search, voting and much more. You can use several methods to upload a module to the site.
Instructions
Step 1
Find on the Internet the module that you want to install on the site. Make sure its configuration matches the version of your resource. Download the file and install it on the test site. Check the functionality of the module, define the necessary components and extensions, and only then can you upload the program to the main site.
Step 2
Go to the "Admin Panel" of your site. Go to the "Extensions" menu and select "Install / Remove". After that, the page of the extension manager should appear, in which it is necessary to click on the button "Upload the package file". Provide a link to the required module package and click the Download and Install button.

Use the second method of unloading the module if the specified one does not help to upload the program to the site. Start the Total Commander program. When copying the file, select "Install from folder" and confirm the execution of the command.
Step 4
Click the Upload Package File button and specify the URL for the location of the module you want to upload. After the link is recognized, click the "Install" button.
Step 5
Go to the "Module Manager" section and enable the unloaded module so that it will be added to the site. Edit its location. The described methods are suitable for sites powered by Joomla.

Create a special folder for modules on the site. This must be done if the site works with Drupal CMS. If you are using Denver virtual server, the URL to this folder will look like this: /WebServers/home/your.site/www/sites/all/modules/.

Take a look at the text file readme.txt, which is usually found in the archive with the module. It may indicate the features of uploading the program to the site or describe step-by-step instructions, which is sometimes very useful for a novice webmaster. Go to the "Site Management" section and unload the modules, then turn them on.
