Placing streaming radio on your site can benefit your reputation and save money as you don't have to spend money buying and downloading MP3 tracks. Most streaming radio stations have a limit on the number of songs they listen to. This is one way to control illegal copying of music. Despite these limitations, radio stations give you the freedom to choose the genres of tracks that you would like to add to your radio stream on your site.
Instructions
Step 1
Find the radio stations that you would like to put on your site. This can be done using Last. FM, ShoutCast. Com and Music. AOL. Com (listed in the resources). In order for the radio to work on the site, you need an embedded HTML code.
Step 2
Select the option like Create a Station. The wording will vary depending on the website. Typically, stations are categorized by music genre (country, classical, jazz, rock, etc.). Many websites require you to create a free user account before creating stations.
Step 3
Customize the widget: choose text color, background, additional characteristics. Copy the auto-generated HTML to host the radio station widget.
Step 4
Log in to your site's dashboard. Open a window of type File Directory to access the website's web pages.
Step 5
Using an HTML editor, open the web pages to which you would like to add the streaming radio and paste the HTML you generated in step 3 into those pages.
Step 6
Click on the Save option, refresh the web pages.
