ICQ is one of the most popular ways to communicate on the Internet. It is used for both personal and commercial correspondence and allows you to get in touch from almost any computer or phone if it has the ability to connect to the Internet. In order to start using the program, just download it from the official website and register with a unique number. The registration process is not complicated and only includes a few steps.

Instructions
Step 1
Go to the site https://www.icq-x.ru and download the latest version of the client from there. Run the program and, following the prompts from the installer, install the client on your computer.
Step 2
Run the program. You will see an initial login window for entering a login (unique number) and password, as well as a link to create a new account "Create a new".
Step 3
Click on the link "Create new", after that the form for creating a new record will open. - Sign-in Email (enter your e-mail address) - enter your real e-mail here, it will be required to activate your account, and in the future - to recover your password. If you don't have an email address, get one on any of the free services. - Select password - enter the password. It must be 6-8 characters long. Do not set your password too light. Ideal - a combination of numbers, letters of the Russian and Latin alphabets and special characters. Do not forget your password and do not share it with anyone. - Confirm password (repeat password) - enter your password again. - Save password - checkbox - check the box so as not to enter the password every time you enter the program from your computer. - Nickname (nickname) - in this field enter the name that will be seen by your interlocutors during communication. - First Name (name) - your name. You can leave this field blank. - Last Name - your last name. This item can be left blank. - Birthdate - date of birth. Optional - Gender - check your gender. It is optional to fill in.
Step 4
Click on the Next button. The next step of registration will open - personal data. - Location (location) - specify the country and city of your residence. The item is optional. - Spoken languages (proficiency in languages) - you can specify the languages that you speak. The item is not required to fill. - Question (question) - this item is used to recover the password. You can choose a question or enter your own. - Answer (answer) - enter the answer to the selected question. - Ask for my authorization before contacts add me (Yes / No) (Add me to the Contact list only with my permission (Yes / No)) - allow other users to add you to their contact list without authorization - Allow all users to view my status in ICQ directories (Yes / No) - allow other users to see when you are online - Enter the number - enter the check digits in the picture you see. This is protection against registration of bots. To go to the next item, click on the Next button.
Step 5
The final registration page opens. It contains your new ICQ number, your e-mail. Check all the data, if everything is in order - click on the Finish button.
Step 6
Find an email with an activation link in your inbox and follow it. Now you can log in to the program by entering your number (or e-mail) and password.
