ICQ is a messenger program, that is, an application for instant messaging. It was developed by the Israeli company Mirabilis in 1996, then sold to America Online, and in 2010 became the property of the Mail.ru group of companies. The name of the program can be read as the phrase in English "I'm looking for you." This is a kind of transformation of the Morse code "CQ" - calling any station. Step 1
