RSS is a format that is used to post news to relevant sites. But it can be used to publish not only news. Any text that can be divided into several parts can be published using RSS.
Instructions
Step 1
Use the CMS JoomLa management system to fill your site with content. When working with this engine, there are two convenient ways to connect RSS: using the Syndicate module, which is built-in, and using the FeedBurner service. To connect the Syndicate module go to the JoomLa toolbar in the "Extensions" menu, then select the "Module Manager" item. While in the manager, click "Create" if the module is not in the list. Select "Syndicate". In the window that opens, make the necessary settings: the name of the module, its location and format. After completing these steps, a corresponding RSS feed icon will appear on your site.
Step 2
To use FeedBurner, register with feedburner.google.com using your Google account. Go to the My Feeds tab and enter your website address. Click Next. In the window that opens, select the 2.0 format for RSS. Go to the next page. In the window that opens, fill in the "Feed Title" column, specifying the name of the RSS feed in it. Click on the Next button. Copy the link that appears at the bottom of the window.
Step 3
After registering with FeedBurner, go to the RSS feed design on your site. Find a suitable image to use as the RSS icon on your site.
Step 4
On the JoomLa admin toolbar, click on the "Site" menu item "Media Manager". In the window that appears, select the "Stories" folder. Click "Select File" and specify the path to the future RSS icon. Once the icon is loaded, create a Custom HTML module using the Module Manager.
Step 5
After completing the necessary module settings, in the editor that opens, in the appropriate tags specify the link received from FeedBurner, the path to the icon and the text that will be displayed when you hover over it. Click "Update" and save the changes in the module.
