Many people have repeatedly come across the fact that they received all sorts of advertising mailings by e-mail, even if they never subscribed to them. Spam comes in ICQ messages and on social networks. And even site owners suffer from this. Is there any kind of spam protection?
Instructions
Step 1
On the VKontakte website, spam can be prevented in the Settings tab. There, find the "Privacy" page, where you need to answer the questions: who can write you private messages, who can leave posts on your wall. Replace "All Users" with your choice. It can be "Friends Only" or "Friends and Friends of Friends", "Some Friends" or "Nobody" at all.
Step 2
It happens that the page of one of your friends is hacked and they start posting spam on your wall on his behalf. It can be a photo or video. Click "This is spam" at the bottom. If you are the owner of the VKontakte group, report spam there using the appropriate button, close the wall and even ban attackers by name. If spam came in a message, click View as Messages. And report spam with a similar button.
Step 3
In some social networks, such as Odnoklassniki, it is possible to close your profile. This service is usually paid. Send SMS to the appropriate number and get complete inviolability of your page.
Step 4
When spam messages arrive at an e-mail inbox, there is usually an anti-spam system in place, which sends messages with suspicious content to the Spam folder. Sometimes you have to do it manually. There is also a proper button there. In Mail.ru-agent or ICQ, report to the support service. They will block the spammer.
Step 5
If this problem occurs on your WordPress blog, please install the WP-Spam-Hitman or EasyBan plugin in the New Plugins section. Then activate it. Now configure so that certain IP addresses are banned; the sites they advertise; or even all messages containing certain speech patterns typical for spammers. Install the Cryptx plugin at the same time. It will make your blog email inbox unavailable for scanning by spam programs designed to collect addresses. On ready-made website builders, you can complain to the administrators.
