Many parents are concerned about the amount of time their child spends on the Internet. In order to limit this time, you can use one of several programs designed for this, for example, Kaspersky PURE.
Instructions
Step 1
Start Kaspersky PURE and then click on the "Parental Control" panel. You will need to set a password that prohibits changing settings in this menu. Click on the "Set a password for Parental Control" link, and then check the boxes on the "Application settings settings" located in the "Password scope" group. Then enter the password in the "Confirm Password" field and click OK.
Step 2
Go to the "Users" tab. Activate parental controls if disabled. From the list of accounts, select all, or those under which your child can log on to the computer. After that, click on the "Configure" button.
Step 3
On the left side of the window that opened in front of you, select "Use", and on the right - "Enable". In the Limit group, select the check box next to Limit usage on specified days of the week. Using this menu item, you will restrict Internet access at the time of day and days of the week indicated in the table. To configure, click on one of the "Deny" buttons under the table, and then click on the intersections of the specified rows and columns that indicate the time of day and days of the week, respectively. Be sure to disable the "Limit daily working hours" icon, and then click the OK button.
Step 4
You can also limit the total time your child spends online. To do this, in the "Enable" option, check the "Limit daily work time" checkbox, and then specify in the field the total duration of work in the network in hours and minutes. Remember that you also need to check the "Limit daily time" option.
Step 5
After that, enter a password that protects the settings from changing them and click on the OK button. Now, if your child uses the Internet over the limit or during hours that are not intended for this, a window with a corresponding warning will appear.
