On the vastness of the Internet there are sites that specialize in the sale of books and magazines in electronic format. To read electronic documents that have been scanned and saved in a document, special programs are used, for example, Adobe Reader. You can often see bad reviews from users on sites that sell electronic versions of books. This is due to the misuse of the software. Do not forget that programs working with text documents cannot open electronic documents.
Step 2
Another mistake is the use of an outdated version of the Adobe Reader program. If you are using Adobe Reader 5 or Adobe Reader 6, there is no guarantee that you will open a document that was created with a modern version of the program. On the official website of this program, you can download the installation files.
Step 3
Go to the program page and select 2 options:
- type of operating system (select an operating system);
- the language you are using (select a language). After clicking on the Continue button, you must select the appropriate version of the program, then click on the Download button. The size of the distribution kit ranges from 20 MB to 90 MB, depending on the version of the program.
Step 4
If you have a slow Internet connection, you can download another program that is analogous to Adobe Reader. It has a small distribution kit, and the portable version will allow you to read electronic documents on any computer if you copy it to a flash drive. The Foxit Reader installation package takes up several megabytes of disk space.
