Have you ever cleaned your mail folders and accidentally deleted some important message along with spam? Unfortunately, this happens quite often when the mailbox is full of correspondence. The magic wand, unfortunately, does not exist, and it is not possible to rewind time, but it is quite possible to restore a scrapped letter if you cleaned the mailbox not on the server. Let's continue configuring Outlook Express in order to be able to recover accidentally deleted messages.
Instructions
Step 1
When entering the settings for a new account in the mail client, leave a check mark next to the message about saving copies of letters on the server for N-th number of days. If there is such a mark, you will be able to return the letter deleted from the program directly on the server.
Step 2
If the size of the mailbox allows - store all correspondence for a long time, and clean up only on your computer and only in the mail client folders.
Step 3
If an entry with your email parameters already exists, go to the "Service" menu, select "Accounts" from the list and correct the settings, or delete the mailbox from the list of scanned Outlook Express, and then add it back to the list of accounts, only using it already initially correct functional data.
Step 4
You can use the option to change the name of an existing address (just in case, so to speak), and create a new account with the same password and login. However, after checking the functionality of the new one, the previous one, previously renamed, should be deleted.
Step 5
Program mail delivery from the server via the IMAP protocol.
Naturally, everyone is accustomed to using the POP3 verification and delivery parameters. However, in this case, by deleting the desired message and not setting a mark about the need to save copies of all messages on the server, it will be almost impossible to restore the necessary one.
Step 6
Synchronization of all existing correspondence. Select with the pressed "Ctrl" and "Shift" keys all letters in the "Inbox" of Outlook Express. Copy the selection. Go to the "Service" menu tab and select "IMAP folder".
Step 7
Upon completion of the server and mailer compatibility process, you will be able to recover deleted messages directly from Outlook.
