Yandex. Mail”allows its clients, however, like a number of other mail services, in case of loss of access to an e-mail box, restore it in almost a few simple steps.

Instructions
Step 1
First you need to go to the main page of your mail resource and, in a special form, where the username and password from the e-mail box are indicated, click on the "Remember password" link. After that, you will be redirected to the page for restoring access to the service, where you will need to specify your login or email address. Here you need to specify the six-digit combination of numbers in the picture. This is necessary in order to confirm that you are a human being and not a robot that automatically picks up passwords from services. If you find it difficult to make out the inscription, click the "Show another picture" link and try again. Then click the Next button to go to the next page.
Step 2
Here you will need to enter your phone number in a special field, to which an access code will be sent to reset the old and restore as a valid new password. Then click the "Send" button.
Step 3
Almost immediately, an SMS message will be sent to your phone with a confirmation code for your further actions. Please note that SMS from the service does not always come instantly, sometimes you have to wait a few minutes. If, after that, the phone does not receive a message, use the link "send SMS again".
Step 4
After the phone receives the code to reset the old password, enter it in the appropriate field and on the next page write the new password and repeat it again.
Step 5
After that, you will be redirected to the Yandex. Passport from which you can immediately go to your mail. The link to it is located in the upper right corner. Click it, thereby you will open your mailbox.
Step 6
Yandex. You can make a number of other changes to your passport, in particular, edit your personal data. Including - name, surname, date of birth, gender, city, time zone. The function of changing the security question and the answer to it is also available here. On the left side of the main page, among the main sections, there is a link "Change password". Click on it and in the new window, in the appropriate columns, enter the current password, and then the new one. On the next line, repeat the newly created password again. When dialing the access code, be careful: even one mistake will not allow you to change the password. For the convenience of writing an e-mail cipher, so as not to be mistaken, you can use the link "Show password text". Then enter the characters from the picture and your phone number, which will receive the code to complete the operation. Press the button "Get the code" and only after that - "Save".
Step 7
You can also change your password directly from your email account. To do this, open the mail and on the left side of the page on the toolbar next to the mail address find the gear icon, when you move the cursor to which, the words "All settings" appear. Click on this link and in the list that opens, select the "Security" section. Go to this section of the menu and in the first paragraph find the inscription "Change password". Click it and on the next page enter the old and new password (you need to enter it in two lines in a row), the code from the picture and the phone number. Get the access code to change the password, write it in a special window and complete the replacement process.
